We are getting into the part of summer where everything gets super busy! I have a love/hate relationship with that whole thing. Things kids are gone here and there, and that always makes me a nervous nelly. After a few weeks of camping and running here and there I start to crave a quiet family evening and always am happy to get my kids back home where they belong.
There are raft trips, camping trips, birthday trips, time at Grandparents, more camping trips to the point that there is something written on the calendar for every single day in June! At the end of it, there will be an awful lot of happy memories and laundry. Never underestimate the laundry. This first camping trip is always the hardest. Trying to figure out what to pack. Trying to remember what we need and what we already have. Plus the nights are cool enough for sweatshirts. Fun fun.
Of course my son said as long as we have the stuff for S'mores then what else do we need? He's probably right.
Each other and some marshmallows. It's all good.
