Slowing Down...

The thing I find hardest to remember is that we don't have to do everything RIGHT NOW. There are so many great things to do in Salt Lake City and the surrounding area. Not to mention the surrounding states. I want to go to Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Moab, Grand Canyon, camp, hike, shop, hit the zoo, the museums etc. In truth, we don't have the money right now for any of that.

Moving across the country is expensive even when the company pays they way. They don't restock your pantry and fridge. You can go through money very quickly when you are eating out three meals a day for almost 3 weeks. Then there is the week and a half Jamie took off to move here. No one is paying him for that!

We have the money we need to pay the bills and buy the groceries. It's the extra stuff that has to go.

It's learning to slow down. To make do. It's learning to ignore all the people asking if we've seen this or done that, yet. It's making it OK to just stay home. To watch a movie and eat tacos. We'll be here for several years. That is plenty of time to do all those things we want to do. And to do them in style.
